BREAKING NEWS



THE KIDZ KAMERAZ has just clinched a deal with Mobi Television where it will be presenting current affairs news on the television programme called YOUTH REHAB together with Mubanga the show presenter.

The television programme comes every Saturdays from 17 hours Zambian time. The main news casters will be Gracious Namanga aged 15 with Miss MalaikaUK first Runnerin the photos above and Olipa Walikesa aged 13 below with Miss MalaikaUK.

KIDZ KAMERAZ: KIDZ KAMERAZ INTERVIEWS THE MINISTER

Praise Muyaba is a one of the News Repoters of KIDZ KAMERAZ. She is aged 12 and doing grade Seven.


Mary Zimba aged Twelve is also a NEWS REPOTER for KIDZ KAMERAZ and one of the founder members. She is doing grade seven.



Rhodah Phiri is the main KIDZ KAMERAZ Administrator. She is the groups Secretary and doing grade nine at Kamualnga basic School.

MISS MALAIKA UK MEETS THE 2007 INTERNATIONAL CHILDRENS PEACE PRIZE WINNER

Miss MalaikaUK first princess had a stop over just to see the 2007 International Childrens Peace Prize Winner Thandiwe Chama. "I heard alot about you in London. You are very famous there and have read alot about you that is why I have stopped to see you in person as I go to do charity work in Mpongwe." she said upon meeting Thandiwe at Jack CECUP School on 18th June 2008. Miss MalaikaUK was driven by her mother.

Gracious Namanga our main News Reporter together with Olipa Walikesa interviewed Miss Malaika soon after the tour of Jack CECUP School.

Miss MalaikaUK is enroute to Mpongwe about 5ookm from Zambias capital town. She is going to do charity work there for about a week as part of her work.

Miss MalaikaUK whose real names are SWAKINA PHIRI is a university students in London and crowned Miss MalaikaUK on the 19th Novermber 2007 in the UK. She had a private talk with Thandiwe Chama at the end.

She will be going back to UK in about two weeks time.

KIDZ KAMERAZ INTERVIEWS MINISTER AND UNICEF

Thandiwe Chama was given a Prize by the Provincial Minister Honorable Mangani during the Day of the Africa Child celebrations held at National Sports Development Council (NASDEC) held in Lusaka on the 16th June 2008.

Museka Phiri was also on the Ground making sure that all the information was captured. She among other people interviewed was a ZKids News Reporter Lulu from Muvi Television. Lulu is a reporter for children's Television News called ZKids News@5.

Gracious Namanga above yesterday interviewed the Zambia's Lusaka Provincial Minister Honourable Lameck Mangani at National Sports Development Council where the Day of the Africa Child was commemorated on the 16th June 2008. Gracious is one of the KIDZ KAMERAZ News Reporters who was covering the event.

Gracious was the main Reporter at the occasion for the Kidz Kameraz Reporter. The team had equip themselves with a Tape recorder, Video camera, Still Camera, pens and notebooks.

DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD 16th JUNE, 2008

The Kidz Kameraz will on 16th June 2008 have another opportunity to interview the Lusaka Provincial Minister Honourable Lameck Mangani during the comemoration of the Day of the African Child at NASDEC Sports complex in Lusaka, Zambia.

Other distingushed personalities to be interviewed include UNICEF Country Representative, His Worship the Mayor of the City of Lusaka, Diplomats, the Provincial Child Development Officer, etc.

One important task the Minister will perform include honoring Thandiwe Chama the 2007 International Children`s Peace Prize Winner.

Other activities included in the commemoration plans are sports, drama, poetry and songs.

The day is celebrated under the theme - CHILD PARTICIPATION Children to be heard and seen.

KIDZ PRESEVING ZAMBIAN CULTURE DVD


The KIDZ KAMERAZ has produced a DVD entiled KIDZ PRESERVING ZAMBIAN TRADITIONAL. This DVD is now available for purchase at $10 or 5 pounds with an additional $3 or 1.50 pounds for packaging and posatge.


This is one of the three DVDs for that have been produced for sale under the series KIDZ PRESERVING whose main aim is to rasie funds to support former Jack CECUP School students who have been selected to seconadry schools but have no funds for the to continue.


The DVD highlight the typical Zambian Traditional dances that are performed among the 72 Zambias tribes.


The other DVD is entiltled KIDZ PRESERVING TRADITIONAL TALES. Listen to pure Zambian tales that are told by our grand parents around the campfire to children.

KIDZ TRADITIONAL ARTS FUNDRAISING FESTIVAL

The Kidz Kameraz will on 14th July 2008 host the first ever Kidz Traditional Arts Fundraising Festival at the Lusaka Play House from 10 hours to 1530 hours.

The main objective is raise funds for Former Jack CECUP School students who have been selected to go to various secondary schools but have no one to support them.

Even though education could be made absolutely free they are other indirect expenses that still hinder some children from attending school such as uniform, shoes, books, physical education attire, sports fees, etc.

It is against this background that we have thought it wise to support our fellow students with this fundraising festival.

KIDZ KAMERAZ INTERVIEWS THE MINISTER

The Kidz Kameraz was on the 20th May 2008 interviewed the Deputy Minister for Sport, Youth and Child Development Hon Angela Chifire during the launch of the first library in the area.

Others interwed were the area Councillor Mr. Derrick Chansa who also represented the area Member of Parliament Hon Given Lubinda who was reported to be out of the country at the moment.

It was surely a moment the Kidz Kameraz proved their jounalism skills in the presence of over one thousand people who came to attend the official opening.

The Bristish Council official Daisy Banda and the Chief Librarian from the Zambia Library Service were not spared from the interviews as well as tens of parents.

A detailed newsletter has so far been produced with a lot of photos and a video which could be sent upon request.
